Description

Caustic Ballet is an immersive light installation revealing the optical phenomenon of caustic light. A cluster of transparent plexiglass tubes acts as both sculpture and optical instrument, transforming projected light into moving lines, halos and shimmering traces. These luminous patterns spread across the surrounding walls, ceiling and architecture, creating a contemplative landscape of light.

The work amplifies a phenomenon usually encountered in water, glass and reflections, expanding it to the scale of a room. Visitors are invited to slow down and observe hidden geometries as they appear, shift and dissolve throughout the space. A subtle sound environment accompanies the luminous transformations and reinforces the perception of movement, depth and spatial presence.
