Emotional Weather

I love the weather. I use it as a tool to investigate the world around me. It is a great metaphor, with a rich language. I explore the outer physical weather and the internal psycho-emotional weather. Trying to navigate and make sense of the world through weather and emotions. I work a lot with Climate Change and Mental Health.

Currently I am doing a practice based Phd in Climate Change and Mental Health / wellbeing through a disability lens. I am also a resident at Pervasive Media Studio Bristol I am neurodivergent.

My art work is often the beginning of the real work of conversations and attempting to initiate positive social change. I am committed to Social and Climate Justice.

I am interested in the deep interconnectedness of things - the visible and invisible links that create the fabric of the webs we weave in the world.

My practice is mixed from large scale public works and performance to intimate quiet works. I like my work to create an itch that needs scratching a few days later, although sometimes it is about the moment of being there and the experience.

My practice is care based, inclusive and equitable. Sometimes i make work about things we don’t really want to talk about such as loneliness or mental health. Some of my work is also quite fun.

I am an artist, curator, writer, mentor and advocate amongst other things. You can find more about each of these under the headings at the top.

I like the far north, snow, the sea and the wind. I like coffee and conversations.

I am based across Newcastle (UK) and Oslo (Norway)
