Glittering Grove

Description
Glittering Grove is an enchanting linear sound, light and smoke installation. Thousands of specks of light dance across trees and the paths creating an enveloping world of glittering loveliness. A bespoke smoke system pipes fog effects along the full length of the piece. Configurable from 80 to 300m long with up to 18 poles each with a half mirrorball, two pinspots and an all weather speaker. The pathway is lit along its full length with warm white p-lights. All equipment supplied, just requires power. The poles are clipped to putlogs rammed into the ground so its ideal alongside woodland paths, parks and gardens. The poles can also be ratchet strapped to railings or promenade stanchions.
It has different original soundscapes composed by Dan Fox depending on the best fit for the festival or trail.. A bespoke composition can be commissioned.

Dan Fox is a multi-disciplinary artist working with music, sound, light, design, installation and projections. He is the director of Sound Intervention, based in The Lake District. The company works UK wide on commissions, festivals, illuminated trails and events. Mostly outdoors and increasingly with battery power. Dan is the curator and lead artist for Winter at Sizergh with National Trust.
Dan grew up on-the -road with pioneering community arts pioneers Welfare State International. He spent 5 years touring Europe with Dogtroep from Amsterdam, including a 5 week run as a trombonist in a nightly drowning orchestra! He was in the original crew for Walk The Plank’s theatre ship, founded Salt The Band and Boneshaker stilt drummers, made hundreds of BoomDang drums for The Sage Gateshead. Dan leads group sound walks using portable recorders and wireless headphones.
Dan is a multi-instrumentslist music producer creating bespoke compositions for his installations, for illuminated trails, outdoor shows and sound sculptures.
Sound Intervention have a number of installations and performances such as the BoomBikes, Projector Bikes, Faceboard, Glittering Grove, Luminosi Trees, CircoTree, Cluster and Aeolian Sound Sculptures. The work is available for touring to both short duration festivals and for several weeks outdoors in the winter.
