Jabberwocky! is an animated and illuminated puppet beast mounted on a tricycle chassis, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s famous nonsense poem Jabberwocky.

Initially made in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic when all other work had disappeared, the Jabberwocky helped save our sanity that year.

A mutant word coined by Carroll, Jabberwocky, according to him, translates as: “the fruit or offspring of much excited and voluble discussion”.

Our Jabberwocky is a family friendly, fun and ever so slightly naughty beast, suitable for walkabouts, parades and processions. Big enough to make an impact in large scale settings the Jabberwocky is also highly suitable for small scale interactions on the street – our fully trained Jabberwocky Wranglers are on hand to ensure maximum whiffling and burbling with minimal biting and catching…
