Reporting to: LUTN Chair, Jennifer Taylor
Fee: £200 per day
Working pattern: 1 day per month, flexible + remote
Light Up The North is a network of light festivals which have come together to share their collective expertise to support both the development of the partner festivals and the wider sector. We are looking to appoint a freelance social media specialist to raise the online profile of the network at a critical stage in its development, as well as supporting its individual partner festivals and engaging new audiences in our work.
The Content + Social Media Manager will lead on developing content and managing the posts for LUTN’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The role requires a highly organised person who is excited about the chance to champion light festivals and engage audiences, artists, participants and partners with striking, innovative and creative social media content.
The contract is for an initial period of 6 months (September 2022 – Feb 2023) but may be extended subject to further funding being secured.
We are looking for a creative social media professional to undertake the following tasks:
- Generate content and create posts on LUTN social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on a weekly basis;
- Connect with marketing representatives for each of the partner festivals, to co-ordinate and add value to their existing campaigns by promoting their festivals on the LUTN media channels;
- Share the network members’ festivals content on LUTN media channels.
- Grow the following and increase engagement across all platforms
You would be required to liaise regularly with LUTN’s Website Manager to ensure that content is aligned.
During the 6 month contract, you would be required to provide a short update report of posts made, interactions, new members/followers and answer any queries – at the LUTN network meeting, attendance could be done remotely and we envisage it being not more than a 10 minute commitment per meeting (these are currently bi-monthly).
We would require a brief written report at the end of the contract setting down what has been delivered and achieved sharing and interpreting the analytics and making any key recommendations for the future.
FEE:
The fee would be £200 per month based on approximately 2 hours per week (8 hrs per month @ £25 per hour); total fee £1,200 for 6 months work.
You would be formally contracted by Blackpool Council and will require a UTR to receive payment through invoices.
