SHINE Light Up The North

SHINE Artists 2023

Light up the North is pleased to welcome the artists Axolotl and Stevie Thompson to our SHINE programme.

The SHINE programme aims to nurture and develop new talent, giving artists the opportunity to exhibit or perform new work at a number of Light Up The North festivals. The artists were selected through an open-call process and will be awarded bursaries of up to £10,000 to realise their new artwork.

Light Up Lancaster Open Call

LIGHT UP LANCASTER 2023: Open Call for Projects

We are inviting light art proposals for one of the key locations at Light Up Lancaster – the historic Priory Church.
All projects should have light as an integral feature of the work and must be suitable for a family audience.
We are inviting proposals from artists working with light to respond to this beautiful, historic space. Your proposal could be for an existing work which can be effectively re-sited or a completely new piece.
